Race Day Information |
2. Weather. The weather the past four years has been fantastic with cool 30's at the start and 50's at the finish. Altough we have flirted with snow we have had blue sky every year! Last year it rained during the awards but the course was in good shape. |
3. Aid Stations. There will be 6 aid stations throughout the 25k course, approximately every 2-3 miles. There will be one aid station halfway up the 12.5k and one at the top for a total of 3. They will have water, gatorade, and Hammergel. Some participants carry their own water. The aid stations will be open until the last runner passes. You may drop off any personal items at the aid stations and may send personal food, gel, socks, etc. to the aid stations if you have them clearly marked and they are at the Lodge by 6:30 am on race day or the night before. You may start early with the hikers if you feel that you will take 5 hours or so. |
5. Raffle. We have an open raffle for all finsihers. Last year's prizes included: 4 nights of hotel lodging, a VO2 max test, heart rate monitor, massages, Montrail duffel bags, a course photo, Hammer Gel, Lots of Marble art, Road ID, fitness classes, a tempurpedic pillow, a 5-foot tree, restaurant gift certificates, and ski tune ups. We will update this list as it grows. We have almost always had as many prizes as runners |
